Reason & Excuses

its been at least a few months since i last pen dw my tots.
came to a decision to drop a visit due to some happenings these few wks.

first and foremost is the recent rejections of my friends' outings.. this is not the main story.. the subject is that they complained that the reasons i came up with to reject their outings are unforgiven.
hmmm.. came to tink of it.. they are right... bt i realli have no mood for all these.. is this the pre ageing period i gg to encounter?

been finding that the recent activities i done or intend to do is rather boring.. somehw i no longer find the 新鲜感 in the activities.. mayb i should sit and reconsider my options

learnt sth today from someone... a lesson of reasons = lies..
sometimes A will provide reasons or excuses on a matter.. ppl such as B involoved will find this as a lie.. bt have B consider that somehw tis so called reason or excuse is jus something A came up wif good intentions. there are things call white lies, isnt there... the reason A came up wif may not be the main intention to kick off a conversation bt is one wif gd intentions. you maybe confused by what im saying.. so let give an example..
should u want to drop a msg to one of yr good frien, you may start off e msg with sth like hw e day or dinner.. this is a reason to kick off a conservation with gd intentions right.. though it may sounds a lousy reason... lol. so i dun realli understand y tiz kind of reason is labelled as lie..

anyway have to straighten this prob..

off to overseas

flying off in abt less than 10 hours. been rushing and clearing my on hand work before the trip.
cant believe that the work seems endless.
there alw diff periods/chapters of life/time. my flight is 10 hours from nw. my mind is off from work 3 hours ago and im quite enjoying this short period yet sweet time.

veri soon.. march is ending.. April is approaching and here comes the Thailand Trip
but seems like its rather unstable over there for this period. anyway had got all the tix ready.. so its pointless to worry too.. lets see a wk ltr hw e situation goes.

if there's a baby boom month 24 yrs ago, guess its has to be April.. many friends will be celebrating their bday this month.. talking abt this.. went to my navy pals bday celebration a few days back.. seems like all are doing their degree course or have completed it.. who wouldnt if one's brain or finances can afford it.

intend to cut down all those night life or at the very least not to be e one to initiate. but seems like all fail. there's mahjong sessions, k sessions all initiated by mi.. bleah..

guess it realli dif to resist the beautifness of these activities.. i dun wan to spend my weekends at hm with nothing on mind except staring the ceiling..

or mayb you pple have much interesting activities to offer which is of low expenditiure and high entertainment values.

i setting my heart to quit my current night life which compromises of overnight mahjong. drinking seesions, k sessions and all those high expeditures activities..

okie.. its abit diff to quit completely so lets start off with reducing all these activities to the minimum.

hmmm.. mayb its also on the hard side to keep it to the minimum.

maybe i should just promise myself that i will not be the one who initiate all the outings. ^-^

wondering wad attracted e crowd. so its a rainbow...

from tat, i realised sometimes its nice to slow down our fast moving pace and look ard us.

mOMo

intended to club at Dragonfly wif the canton pop.. imagine.. dancing away in mandarin songs.. cool. but cant reach their age limit @23..
so made the way to MoMO.. my 1st time @ there. clubbing at MoMo on last sat was a rather enjoying night.. coz its been some time since i last went dancing the night away..
came to conclusion tat one doesnt have to go clubbing alw.. club it once a while and u will realli treasure it. esp wif friz..
walked from MoMO to tiong plaza to save tat cab fares.. made a wrong move.. should have walkd to clark quay to take the bus instead. resulting a 1/2 hr before finding the bus stop wif the NR 5.. haha.. realli din have a sense of direction.

Dinner @ 2011

a dinner buffet wif my unit @ the Furama Hotel near havelock rd, the Square Restaurant wif a crowd of 17 pple.. there's PC, OC, senior, staff, master and us.. the OJT.. on job trainees..

imagine the crowd.. food there was slightly abv ave wif those interenational cusine. but where wsa the chilli crab.. cant find them.. mayb they served it in the afternoon. swept many plates of food and quite enjoy the chocolate fondual.. onli tat there's no kiwi and strawberry to go along. onli mango and masmarllow..
due to the realli resonable price @ 20 plus per person wif the presentating of 11B.. quite encourage pple to go and taste the food.

went there once again but tiz time wif my mum.. though been there a few times but realise tat each visit to there are wif the diff pple..

something worth mentioning @ there was the service attended to their customers @ the asian kitchen.

the service was realli good..

there's tiz young waitress who recommended side dishes to a table of aunties and when the aunites wanted mroe drinks saying ' mind if can get us drinks' she replied wif 'of coz dun mind.. hold on while i get it.

u may tink tat i say tat of her coz she attractive.. nah.

the table next to mine was a lady wif her young kid..

they shared a bowl of noodles and some side dishes.. there's tiz young waiter who approached and asked if they were sharing the noodles and if they nid 2 small bowls for it.. he is not the one taking their order non serving them yet he noticed tiz and offered solution.. veri good service i would say..

went for a hair cut opposite my hse.. as i always have no particular hairstylist so there alw diff pple attendiing my hair..

den came tiz particular hairstylists who cut my hair..

she give recommendations, asked when was my last hair cut, analyze the condition of my hair eg my hair is thick at the back.. blah blah.. and during process of cutting, discuss abit of other stuff eg.. hw old, hw come so tann.. blah blah....

mi being abit talkative of coz chat abit..

alwa had tiz tinking tat onli when u go to top salon den the hairstylist will analyze condition of your hair and talk a bit crap..

din xpect my $10.80 hair cut had also tiz good customer service..

and who say there's no good customer service.. its onli if u met them ...

SAILING

went for 5 straight days of sailign.. total zz time is realli to the minimal.. it cant get ani lesser..

tanned to a realli cmi tone.. ah.. for the 1stt iem has the tot of getting sun block instead of tan lotion.. lol..

they say after being locked up for long, when being let free, one will fly ard wildy.. tink it works well for my unit friz..
after the many tough days of sailing.. went to Kbox followed by Vivo city (where i laid my eyes on a piece of clohing), Tiong Baru, Great world city..

one more thing.. 1 realli should plan hw he spent his $$.. felt reali broke.. realli.. tink has to do sth to it..

mention b4 tat i sprained my right foot, injuried my left toe..
new injuries on my left palm due to the effect of holding dry ice.. blame on my playfulness, got my hands on a piece of dry ice during my Senior Bday party and the next thing i felt was needles like pain on my palm.. after holding it tighly for 5 secs.. zzz..
lesson learnt-- was tat one shouldnt play wif dry ice unless u wan to name it in the fortiet list..

hw far would go to achieving your goal..
has tiz friz or should i say. had tiz friz.. anyway he still consider as a friz juz tat had tiz invisble line btw him and us.. Why us.. coz the rest of my unit friz also consider him tat he realli went to the furthest to achieving tat status..

its juz the status of being an instructor back in the trainee school.. true tats it more of a relaxing job.. no duty.. no outseas.. no sun tanning.. no extra confinment.. stay in the air con office and do admin work and passed dw your knowledge to the next batch in the classrm..

but do u realli has to go to the xtend of fowning on the upper rank and be veri obedient to all of their orders.. when in trouble. be the 1st to bring yourselve out of the situation and have tat always 'act' tat u are not involved in ani of the 'against the rules' activities..

such acts has mayb earned him to be the instructor back in the trainee sch but has too earned the least respect and deterroting friendship from everyone of us..

so status is realli of more importance than the misgiving form friends.. if so. i had not much to say to him..

caught DeathNote. truely its realli one of the best jap movie i caught. veri thrilling and a veri well written plot.. thumbs up for the comic i would say.. for its a print to screen movie..
wif the DN in hand, Light realli put a justice to those crimmals but some may deter to tat for he is nt the Law.. someohw i neutral to tat.. but at least he din go to the xtend of selling his life span for the eyes of the devil..

happens tat is one of the few which i liked for its humourous and heart warming plot

Said and measured as the biggest shopping mall in Singapore.. and some say in S.E.A. Was claimed to be the combination of Suntec city and C.K. Tangs. Am i rite or pple can correct mi.. not tat i was recruited as their spokesperson to tok abt their mall, juz tat its one the most tok abt mall in the town and been hitting the Life section of Straits Times for past few days.

aniway went there wif intention to catch a movie and of coz has the nid to find a cinema.. here comes the comedical part. usually for a mall, the cinema is located at the top floor. went to the top and there's onli FOOD Republic. Where's the cinema!!!??

Decide to try lvl 2 and manage to find it @ there after walking for some distance @ lvl 2.. its realli a BIG mall.. and should u tink of gg back to the same shop where u chosen tat parrticular dress, the probability of locating the same store is real low.. aniw din went into many stores .. mostly abt high ended product from Timberland, Zara..

caught the Silk at vivo city.. was deemded as one of the scariest chinese movie but has some misgivings.. there's onli one or 2 scene which will eject u from the seat wif those usual suden appearence of the 'thing' and as the front row consists of sec sch gals, they add tat extra effect to the movie..
find the SIlk not of to the horror fick but of life learning plot. watch the movie and will know wad life teaching plot it is. "P

Reek

Xperienced my very very first sailing in my navy NSF. thinking on the +ve side, its like sun tanning at Sentosa with the absence of Bikini babes and the sandy shores..

been told tat the craft we are sailing on are of classified info. so cant revel much on my outseas xcerises next time.. aniway in army, they always say many things are classified.. you cant revel tiz and tat..

since holding the job of repairing the craft, one of my scope is to refil the oil of my craft and guess wad.. on my 1st simple and short trip excerise (a short trip its almost an 12 hrs xcerise)i had oil splashed onto my face.. and reek of the oil throughtout the journey back to my unit. even after my bath in my camp, i still somehw tink tat i reek of the smell..

caught Rob-B-Hood a wk back, wif jackie chan, it means action pack but wif the cast of the cute Baby, it turned out to b action abd yet heart warming show..
looking forward to The Departed and the Silk.. ask mi for more movies..

never stop learning

ermm.. tink tiz works well even in the SAF.. new vocation required mi to learn hw to repair and maintain the machinery parts of a Navy beaching craft aka known as the Pontoon in 2 mths time..
aniway the pontoon is a sort of craft which will beach at shallow waters so as to let bigger vessels have access to the shore. can deduce tat its nt reall a craft for its completely flat and even the steering panel can be hidden in the craft..

wonder hw to adsorb all these for someone will null knowledge of machinery..
New posted area is at Tuas Naval Base.. looking forward to a job wif many many new stuff to learn.. required to learn all the duty routine, fire drill on top of repairing the craft..

stay-in for the intial 5 days including the weekend to learn more of the duty's routine.. makes mi realli miss my wkends.. and somehw has the taste of the 2 weeks confinement days back in tekong..

somehw my vocation spells tat will have many out seas excerises, expeditions, trips.. and a veri veri over tanned skin tone..

tats the thinking of a typical Singaporean and mi being Singaporean has such dreams though its unrealistic. Down to earth people always say one set realistic goal and dreams.

As for me, one should set realistic dream and unrealistic too. Isnt it good when once a while u think of those unrealistic dreams after a hard day's of stress. Anyway people are noble coz of big dreams.

NDP week..

finally all the rehersals has come to an end.. it means tat i have all my saturdays back... and no more mondays off..
anyway weekends are more enjoyable and priceless dan weekdays during ns..

somehw don have much of the national day mood.. mayb we were invloved in tat and been rehersaling tat many times.. so it juz treat it like a normal rehersal. moreover have experienced tat kind of crowd during e preview..

was enjoying more of e events after and before the NDP march.. the zhi cha we favoured at Bugis after the NDP.. the pics taken before sending our SAR21 back for the last time..

been some while since last meet up wif e ususal poly clique.
caught France fireworks wif them @ SAT.. was a much spectacular scenry dan the one by Singapore on tues.. it goes well wif the music and somehw can see it firing into the sky to e beat of the music..
and almost the whole of the sky was occupied wif it.. stunning view.. "P

packed the wk closely wif a boring 2D1N chalet on sunday.. was actually a reward for us after e hard work at NDP.. in the end close to half din turn up.. moreover were asked to lower dw our volumes by our chalet neighbours.. many chicken wings as leftovers.. yet wad was irony was tat they have to pay though they din turn up coz of the insufficient funds.. had my share of vodak drinks.. guess i had a hand in guessing e correct number..

yesterday TOTO has snowballed to a stunning $5 MILLION.. and guess wad.. i dun have a share in it..

say boring

my life is getting boring with the exception of last week.. 1st incident, had my duty on tues which basically required to wear cover-all( the blue clothes navy pple wore )
as it was ard 10 plus in the night.. thinking tat there's no one ard, i walked ba long long from a my cabin to the place of duty wif my navy PE shirt and the blue navy pant... with no warning, i was caught by the captain of other courses and were slapped wif an offence of nt marching form pt to pt..

com'on who will march from pt to pt at a time of 10 plus PM..

and he send an email of tiz matter to my warrent officer...
and talking abt efficiently (onli on tiz matter, other matter, they take own time de)
was asked to fall in next day after our afternoon run..
and so we were being Q on wad happened.. evenutallly got a saying due to tiz..

2nd matter happens on weekly NDP rehersal.. its always tat tiring but fun!!! was doing our last run for the day and it juz started off 10 mins when my frien who standing motionless in the 2nd row dozed off..
hw i knew tiz when i was standing 3 rows behind him!!! LOL.. a sudden small hop to the front came from him suddenly and set off the pple ard him giggling..
its realli a challenge to control our laughter upon seeing tiz coz we were to stand motionless and in silence..

moreover the person behind him has done tiz in the earlier run onli tat he hop sideway instead to the front.. talking abt hw tired we were.. standing motionless and dozed off.. "p

the last joke of the week happen ytd..
happens in a mall while i was walking when suddenly 'snap'!! my slippers was separated from my feet..
first tot came to mi.. wth.. how come like tiz..

2nd tot was walao.. bought tiz slippers less tan a yr and was rather ex coz its frm flash & surf.. and nw it in tiz state..

was in a rather paiseh mode coz i was in the middle of the lane when the right slipper came off.. so i quickly proceed to the side and tink of solution...
intially wanted to last it hm wif tiz pair of slippers.. but its realli in cmi situation.. so dragging my right foot and in search of new slipper..
went to BATA nad look for the most afforable pair.. POWER.. it costs $9.95.. highly recommended by cm coz when his slippers snap too, hy bought tiz for him...

lesson learnt..
when slippers came off.. proceed to nearest BATAT and buy POWER.. your saviour to snap slippers "P

Italy is the 2006 World Cup Champion.. wif its world class defence and splendid tactics, it brought the cup.. but personally felt France is the better team during tat match.. juz tat they lost Henry and Zindine for the penalty which cost them the cup. anyway tats life.. having lost tiz and den and your opponent will overtake u..

like my last weekend.. a chalet after my NDP rehersal, followed by K session after checking out from chalet.. and lastly a pool session.. all on the same day!!! talking abt entertainment and fun.. after all these fun, caught the finale of the world cup.. real xcitement though my dad critise it as boring match due to the draw.. anyway appluse for the champion..

had a meet up wif a long time frien who gg for further studies in Aussie.. can xpect someone hu gg on a long term trip realli has many catch up wif all the friends.. "P

without realise, its bee 2 weeks since world cup kicked off..
without relise, i been spending abt 6 saturdays for the NDP rehersal.

national day is getting closer and closer.. rehersaling time is extended due to the full rehersal.. basicallly see the whole rehersal is there with the exception of the fireworks.. its realli cool to see those Guard of Honour. the No 1 suit and the firing. can xpect many wow during the national day.

if i nt wrong, KFC and pizza hut are 2 of the sponsors to the NDP.. coz for the last rehersal, was given kfc as lunch and dinner wif pizza hut.. "P
4 tixs was given to each of us for the full dress rehersal 2.. too bad there's no xhibition of the fireworks and goodie bag.. time to find owners for the tixs "P

Birthday WEEK

A blink of time and i reached the magical number 21.. they say tiz age is whereby u get the key.. and the many 21st birthdays attended.. one of the must have, always is the big sized key shaped cake.. i always wonder wad does the key means.. even till nw..

spend my 21st birhtday in camp... shold have gotten half a day off but it resulted a late book out.. at the very least had dinner outside the vinicity of my camp...
had my dinner at the newly opened Hong Kong tea House.. tink they had 2 branches. one near city link, the other at Kovan.. the ambience of city link branch is rather cozy.. the food is surely worth more of its price.. reasonable price.. tasty food.. expect another outing there soon!!!

got a birthday England jersey.. liked the pressi esp during tiz time. the world cup sesaon.. "P .. so realli thanks.. my friends.

WorlD Cup

came to conclusion tat life of NSF is very rountine.. weekdays in camp, booked out on weekends.. whereas for mi.. i booked in on monday and out on sat due to rehersal of the NDP.. rehersal timing are getting longer and longer.. it has came to almost a full rehersal wif acting president doing inspection and full-played of 4 races songs.. has to stand motionless and do simple drills wif my SAR 21 close to an hour.. such a long time has made my fingers and feet numb..
privileges for NDP involved personal are cut alot 2.. from being booked out on Friday and booked in on sat to do the rehersal to nights out on Friday and finally to nth.. tat is stay in all the way to SAT!!!...
add to all these, my NSF allowance for the mth has reached to a lowest amt.. $250.. should i give tiz amt to the PM, wonder wad wonders he can do wif it.. esp in S'pore..

Held once every 4 yrs, one of the biggest sports event in the world..the world cup arrived.. remember vividly tat the 1st match 4 yrs back, i caught wif my sec sch frienz at a chalet.. 4 yrs later which is nw, i caught it in my camp.. zzz..
but sth to b glad is tat my habour pract fall within tiz mth and there b some days 8-5.. Habour pract is whereby we b gg to base where ship are based and learn hands on stuff.. after a mth it will b on job training.. somehw like tat of attachment.. :P
whcih is 8-5 too.. guess tiz the onli thing many look forward to..

BBQ

Our unit has always stuff up their sleeves.. after the Macritche hiking, they had a bbq on thus and guess where the venue.. within our camp itselve and at the parade square.. zz..
games played, contest hold, wif performes by overseas students who are on exchange culture.. students came from India, Canada and Hong Kong and the latter recevied the most appluse for they had a rather cute Hong Kong gal.. imagine the warm welcome when our sgt saw them..

after many weeks of NDP rehersal, our venue of rehersing has changed from camps to Kallang, the stadium itself.. hmmmm... the no of time mi being at there can b counted wif a hand.. info tat its the last time the NDP was to b held at there and will b demolished soon after.. so can xpect their last event an xciting 1..

lets xpect tiz june a whole lot fun.. there's the world cup, there's the GSS.. realli like my bday being fall on tiz mth.. can buy stuff wif discount coz of the GSS.. "P

hmm.. is 17th june an auspicious day for bbq?? 2 of my sec sch friends celebrating their bday on tat day.. and a poly mate holding a bbq.. wonder which 1 i should go.. or mayb i should hold a belated bday..

the Week

mainly my last week consist of many book in and out.. Monday was a off.. Tuesday was a half day of due to the election polling, book out on thusday due to a friday Macritche Treetop walk event.. and den sat book in once again for my Ndp rehersal.. can jooly well imagine hw mcuh i spend on my transportation..

Friday event was said to b a 9.5km walk but eventually i sure tat its more dan tat.. the distance up there was 9.5km.. and we make our way dw for at least another 4km b4 reaching the other meeting pt.. have no idea why there's such a event.. walking all the way up and cross teh 27m high bridge.. basically saw no monkeys at such a height.. instead caught alot whille making way dw to the last meeting pt.. was quite shag after all these walking.. but still went on wif our Kbox session.. lolx.. cant imagine them able to withstand my out of tune vocals.. aniway the 6 of us quite enjoy ourselves at the partworld @ orchard..

sat was the NDP rehersal and mi beind a reserve was made to stand in for someone in the first row.. and of coz my drills was not of the standard.. basically there's nth good in being the 1st row.. the onli perk is abe to get a good view of the guard of honour firing the shot and the formation of flags.. AWESOME..

caught X-men 3 wif them on sunday.. AWESOME effect.. wif many twists.. good storyline.. unlke tat of last 2 sequences of X-men.. tas ends my week.. and i quite like such a week.. like it happen more.. esp the book in and out.. wahahaha..

since the passing out of tekong, i been in tiz camp close to 6 mths.. tink there many confusion to many as wad i was learning.. so i xplain it clearly...
from dec 05 to jan 06, as the courze wasnt began so its the slacking period wif nth to do.. from feb to marc was the ver ver basic which is to b learnt in navy.. somehw like the 1st yr in poly.. where every1 learns the same stuff.. from apr to currently is the learning of our specialise vocation which is like tat in poly 2nd yr.. every1 will focus into their specialise modules.. due to the intervention of the NDP rehersal as Mondays are always off, our course duration drag from Sept to DEc.. it means to say tat i b in tiz camp close to a yr b4 working on a ship..

world cup is approaching.. have no idea if i staiyng out due to practical learning onboard ship.. if there is, i b catching it!!!!

Double O

for the first time the NDP rehersal ended at 7pm!!!! its realli tiring to stand motionles for such a long period of time.. a least for 45 mins.. and tats doesnt include those MP and arrival of President.. wads thrills mi in the rehersal is the firing of the guard of honour.. they simply makes the atmosphere real awesome..

rush to Cathay to catch Poseidon.. sinking of a ship.. missed the 1st 10 mins and after hearing a few sentences of conversation, the big wave came and the ship sank.. "P at least i din miss the great part..
being in the navy, came to know those terms which they use.. turn to portside and starboard..

somhw the movie was like tat of the many awards winner Titantic.. xcept tat its not more towards romance but towards teamwork which help to their survival.. form the movie one can see the love of mother to her son.. the love of father to his daughter.. a realli thrilling movie..

proceed dw to double O for clubbing.. my 2nd clubbing in my 20 yrs of life.. felt tat my 1st clubbing at MOS is of a better place coz there's more dance floors and the music is nicer.. but one of the best thing abt Dobule O is tat their shot are priced at $3.. veri afforable price unlke tat in MOS which is a height of $9.5..havign juz booked out, i have my bag wif mi.. cant xpect mi to dance wif my bag and being a bit lazy to Q up to the 2nd storey to deposit my bag, i juz 'hide' my bag under one of their sofa.. worried tat someone may juz throw it away, every nw and then will keep a lokout on my bag. lol.. danced and sat till they closed up for the day and had bak kut teh b4 gg hm.. been some time since reached hm at ard 5 plus. wad a day of feet movement-- dancing and marching..

friday!!

hmmm... have no idea how my navy friends course commander able to get them out of the NDP marching contingent.. i too wanted to b out of it.. coz of tiz NDP reharsel, all my saturdays are burnt!!!! it means i gg to miss all the fun outside wif friends on satudays!!! so wad if they compensate those lonely mondays wif all friends booked in on sunday night and female friends working till 5pm on mondays..

was informed tat wif the reharsel for NDP and on-job training for my vocation thrown in, my course will end at ard 1 dec... it doesnt take a great mathematic to realise tat there's still at least 6 more mths and it less dan 10 months to my ORD.. wad the use of a lon term training when they gg to use your skill for onli 9 mths..
and do they xpect mi to remember all those repairing skills when i doing my reservist..

1 more Month away from my 21st birthday!!! YEAH.. hinted to my course commander tat i wanted to ake the day off but he replied tat SAF has no rule tat u are allowed to take leave for such occassion.. do they have the heart to destroy a young boy 21st birthday by asking him to spend it in camp... lol.. aniway i gg to 'fan' 'fan' 'fan' him till i get a veri satified answer which of coz is benefical to mi... wad a morning

since i was inloved in the NDP, was entitled to Monday night book in.. but due to the adding of programmes into our time table, has to get dw back to camp for my ippt.. slept at 3 and woke at 5.. bascially the mrt journey from jur to tanan merah was mi sitting dw leaning my head against the side panel zzz away....
hw am i in good condition to run wif onli a 2 hrs of NAP!!! so upon reaching there, told the pti tat i'm being excused by MO for running and home i headed... YEAH!!!
means tat i spend a 3 hr plus journey to there and back.. wd a waste of time..

tink the goverment or should say Mindef should remiburse our transportaton fees, esp those staying far away from camp.... i.e. pple like mi staying in jur and has to go to other side of Singapore juz to bk in..

the FA cup

have no idea why am i being a NSF is involved in the NDP.. a total burn of my half saturadys for the next month and mayb the whole of saturdays when National Day approaches..
caught FA cup final. can say tat its a ver awesome match.. awesome goals created by both teams.. be it from 40 yards long curve or 30 yards straight shot.. but best goal of the match jus has to come from West Ham Konchesky.
somehw history almost repeats itself --last season CHamp Leg.. onli tiz time is btw liverpool and West Ham .. Liverpool dw wif 2 goals and make a came back wif Gerrard once again.. throughout the whole of 90 mins they are not the ones leading the match.. somehw or the other they managed to equalised at the veri last last min... and wif Renia being the other saviour of Liverpool who managed to deny 3 shots from West Ham during th penalty showdw..
Liverpool won the cup but believe tat the great effort and tactics displayed by West Ham won the hearts of many.. u can say its a win-win situation...

MY kinDa of Life

almost a month since i lasted blog.. mayb the surprises navy offered mi xplained it.. my surprise for the month is being informed my alr low allowance is being reduced to another lowest rate.. $350 per mth.. due to my new vocation(repair speed boat machine) cant our smart government think tat wif a 'sum' of $350, its hard to survive in tiz full of temption in entertainment(movies, food) and highly cost country.. tink there's a nid to readjust my spending and everything.. and they say the navy personnel are paid well.. guess it onli applies to those regulars.. and onli for a few yrs, mind you..

another surprising fact is tat a 3m diving board takes real courage to jump.. zzz.. due to the many faults i made duing the jump.. was asked to jump 2 more times.. zzz
and my first jump took almost a min wif many 'wait, wait..', 'i nid time'.. lolx...

was shown to my actual working place ytd and as many said, its a place whereby newbi are bullied.. big fish eat small fish.. gues have to stick to such fact tat in the navy, such politics applied 2..

for the 1st time in the wk, i felt tat i'm realli in the navy.. for the 1st time, we get to go to the boundless sea in the fast craft and i get to have a go a short distance wif mi being the 'driver'.. friends in Sispec tok abt the diff weapons they handle, friends in air force tok abt journey overseas.. for mi.. at least get to set on foot on a fast craft in the navy..
training ending soon as a trainee in the navy.. my coz commander recommend mi to b storeman due to my ankle injury.. means tat i wont get to set on foot on ship.. aniway tats onli a recommendation.. have to wait for the verdict till nxt mth..

caught tiz movie wif a long long known friend..
a typical romance movie.. yet its always such typical story tat touches the heart of many.. its always the departure of either the guy or gal tat makes the other wait.. wait and wait.. a wait of forgetting the memories of her.. yet it never happens..
a movie tat has been for some time yet the cinema is almost fully packed.. guess its a rather well rated movie though not advertised agressively..

din i ever mention tat my camp has a tv room and this week, whenever the clock strikes 9pm, there's always these loyal crowd who rush to catch 'shinning stars' of chn 8!!! guess even though in NS, we still cant get rid the habit of watching tv shows juz like before.. visited the NUH for my MRI-- Magnetic Resonance Imaging.. those big big round machines whereby u are placed in to scan if u had cancer or brain tumor.. was refered to there for my ankle.. a look on the pay slip after the scan, it proved a thing as many said.. 'one cant afford to fall sick in Singapore'.. a half an hour scan and the bill choke to $700.. sure such an amt for a scan can choke many pple.. after govt subsid, it still amts to $400.. guess tats life in Singapore if you are sick..

hold the post of a NSF for 6 months.. can say tat throu the 6 months i learned alot.. treasure alot..
my time as a civialian.. my bed. "P seems like my unit has become my 1st home..still nw still kinda miss my days as students.. b it poly or secondary.. no worries abt anithing.. worry abt exams onli when its near..
in unit has to worry abt those extras and confinements and complain thoses lies and promises which are broken by our commanders..

basically our batch has been targetted for almost everything. frequent checks being make on us.. whereby are caught sleeping.. AWOL.. visiting the MO for nothing.. skip lessons.. blah & blah.. and juz becasue of a few pple faults.. the whole of our batch are being targetted.. has to b careful nt to step on ani of their tails whereever we walk.. last set on foot there seems like few mths back.. cant believe tat can set my foot there on a Friday.. its the camp cohension day so everyone were to b at sentosa for games..

was made to participate in sand castle building.. Either our theme is out of pt or our mermaid sculpture is too seducing, it onli get us the 3rd spot.. out of 4 teams.. spend an hour+ and wif a team of ard 11 pple, we made a sculpture of mermaid, revlover a hat and castles..

such an event requires the attendence of every1 and thats the onli chance whereby u are able to see every gal in the camp in the same day..
i started off the day by kicking sand into those who are participants of the treasure hunt .. coz they are the onli ones required to wear shoes.. "P

event started from 9 to 2..
but started our kind of soccer, volleyball, throwing of mi into the sea at ard 12 plus.. and had to wait for my onli shorts to dry up b4 can set off at 330.. zzz

but is a fruitful trip coz i get to sun-tan.. "P
and see the many bikini babe.. so not onli weekends there are bikini babes.. :P

Being in the navy long enuff, it makes u know some of their crappy and wadsoever nonsense...
Being in the NS, u came in contact wif all sorts of pple.. those wif leadership.. those who all sorts of injuries u no heard of..

remember vividly from someone.. but forget who the one.. saying..
those in SISPEC and OCS has the leadership and in future they hold jobs
which requires of such personalities..
those who know how to 'gen' and 'gen' till dwgraded are those of business accum coz they uses their brain well and even manage to escape thro the normal nation service one has to serve..
whereas those who quietly juz serve throu the 2 yrs are of employee attitude.. they juz wanted to serve the 2 yrs peacefully and are contented wif juz tat fixed amt of salary.. come to tink of tiz. i wonder hw true is it..

the navy system are getting on my nerves or rather everyone's... commotions on juz an early bkout..promises made by our coz commander r broken..

your 2nd day is my 1st day

in theory, many spend their 1st day of CNY visiting relatives
for mi..
the 1st day is spend on doing my duty.. zzz..
and my actual CNY celebration started on the 2nd day..

1st destination of the hse visit is my Grandma's..
reached there juz b4 they r setting off to my cousin's hse
whereby tat is my 2nd stop..
and is also where i ralise tat 'm the uncle of 2 kids..
remember tat last yr visit..
i'm onli the uncle of 1..
tiz yr is the uncle of 2.. lolx

before warming the seats has to proceed to grandfather's
and lastly card gathering at hy hse..
its been abt a 2 or 3 tradition to go to hise hse for
card games.

the eve of CNY

ytd is my book out day..
the day of my camp offical opening ceremony..
was the spectator at the grand stand..
presume tat its a rather major ceremony coz
the pple witnessing are of rather high ranks...
there's the many high ranking soldiers
from diff countries..
there's the 2 star Chief of Naval..
the minister for defence.. Teo sth de..
and the 3 star Chief of Defence...
zzz.. has the mindset tat the highest
rank in S'pore is onli 2 star..
was stunned to see the presence of the 3 star...

been doing lots of cleaning in the camp..
cabins where the GOH will pass by has to b clean and
clear of dust..
teh pavement where he shall walk has to b free from stains..
almost all of the trainees has been deployed to
clear the dead leaves and mop the corridors..
so much work for jzu the arrival of a person...

aniway got the long weekend + P.H to look forward
so i should b greatly joyous..
its seems to b such a flawless P.H

but the sth tat makes it nt so perfect
is the interference of the
guard duty which falls on the 1st day of CNY

Throughtout the week, tink i onli enjoyed last night most..

was in camp for a total of 5.5 days..
this week let mi realise tat our Mdm are realli
upset wif us..
threatened us wif all sorts of confinements..
threatening us to double tat of the confinement
recommand by the CPl and instructor..

ought to book out on Friday..
but someone PSP was kena stolen by an inconsiderate thief..
every1 cabinet was ransacked..
like most cases, stolen tool was nt found..
(which guy would put stolen tool in their own cabinet. zz)
resulted Mdm to confine us throu the Friday night...

the long awaited maiden clubbing for mi happened ytd..
the newly opened MOS.. Ministry of Sound..
entrance tix ought to b $15..
but got mine for $10 ..
compliments to a frien's tix and tw suggestion for buying tat tix..
Q started at ard 9pm....
caught the first sight of MOS interior design
close to 1030pm..
and behind us there's still a long Q..

first 20 mins or so in the club was spent scouting ard..
some of the patrons are smoking heavily..
as if smoking their life away..
and many of the women are welly dressed..

in the club
there's the whitely decorated PURE room...
whereby there's bean bags and sofa to lie on when
you are beat from the dance..
but all of the seats are reserved..

there's a room wif a retro dancefloor..
a main dance floor near the entrance..
and a room whereby its R&B
presume its call Smoove or Moove..

choose whiskey coke as my free drink
sort of tink it unique and hard to buy it at stores..
and i tink know i know why..
coz its quite a terrible drink..
one of the worse from the drinks
my friends ordered..

chose the R&B room as the main dancefloor for us..
many many pple are dancing to their hearts in the cage..
quite creative of them to use the cage to separate
the dancers and the drinkers..
(or mayb tat is the same in every club..?)

danced till ard 2 plus before
dragging my tiring legs to Mac for supper..
guess mayb tats wad expected from a 1st time

The Naval called it the regimental guard duty
whereby evryone has to do a guard duty on
1 of the stated day...

Since everyone has to do 1..
i have no complaints..
but our platoon are required to
do the duty on the Chinese NEW week!!!!!
and i am required to do on the 1st day of Chinese New Year..
DA NaiN Chu Yi...

the naval always talk abt tradition...
its their tradition for tiz and tat..
tink asking the lowest rank in the naval base (tat is us)
to do duty on Chinese New Year,
its also 1 of their tradition.. and
they has derprived of my tradition of not working on

Countdw at Mt Faber...

where's the shouting of Happy New Year...
coz everyone was amuzed by the sky symphony fireworks..

wads unxpected was at the same time..

b4 proceed to the bus stop for NR..

here comes the best part of new Year
which is sure memorable for mi..
it was a wait of NR 5 and 8 mini story..

mostly a wait of 1/2 hr for the bus..
but guess wad...

it eveutally turns out to b an 2 and 1/2 hr wait!!!!!(u didn read it wrongly.. i didn wrote it wrongly..
its 2 and 1/2 hr wait)
from 230 am till 5am!!!!!!!
tink all friends has reached hm and slept soundly
by tiz time alrd..

involved and witnessed
many encounters throu tiz time...
goes to show tat within a short time
many things can happen...

1a) din spot ani friends from countdw area to orchard area..
but spotted 2 army friends respecetively
and a colleague at the bus stop
during the 2 plus hr wait..

b) they came way later dan mi yet broaded
their bus much earlier!!!!

2) in the midst of 2 and 1/2 hr...
witness at least 10 NR1 bus passed by...
witness 3 NR8 fully packed..
witness 3 NR5 fully packed...
and other weird bus numbers...

3a) as waiting time reaches 2 hrs..
u can spot from the crowd..
who are waiting for the same bus as you..
and they indeed broaded the same bus..

b) went to a 7-11 along the route to PS..
to get a drink...
walked back to continue the wait for NR
and the pple which i presumed
waiting for the same bus were still there...

4) intend to take NR5 hm
but when the wait proceeds till 4am, decide
to have Big Breakfast at West mALL 24 hrs Mac..
goes to show tat the long wait can made 1 hungry and
a tot to go hm for sleep can change
to having an early breakfast..

5) evenutally a packed but still can squeeze
few passenger NR8 came.. broaded the bus and heard
an open conversation...
the bad frquency of the bus make an ANg Mo
pretty fed up..
coz he was asking the number of SBS from bus driver...
so tat he can complain???
but the bus driver said tat he's not from SBS but TIBS...
in the end the Ang Mo also din broad the bus
coz its too pack..
and tink he didnt manage to get the number from the driver..
since he cant get on the bus..
driver suggest there's still the 'most-poppular' NR1
(the frq is reali high compare to other buses add together)
but the Ang Mo say he dun wan go to Yishun..
he wan to go to BB...
tats why he's waiting for NR8.. lolx...
forget hw the conversation ends..
somehw it appears to b an interesting conversation..

6) witness an encounter which i labelled it as
'Purple and Orange'..
(dun wish to tell more.. lol)

was deciding to take up an insurance policy

flashing back

2005 is approaching to an end..
the ending of a chapter leads to a beginning of another one
which many has cited..

looking back yr 2005...

1) tried my luck on the yearly big TOTO..
hoping to win not the jackpot but at least a Group 2 prize..
but ended getting onli 3 numbers out of the 7..

2a) was like most of many 3rd yr Biz student..
spending most of time in sch to complete Final Year Project
known as Business Development..
helping Crocodile to change its image..
and tats the onli Distinction i got in my 3 yrs of poly!!

b) scraped throu my 3 yrs of poly and I obtained my Diploma!!!
A piece of paper wif many Cs and DS...
wonder if it helps to finiding a job after NS wif so many degree holders out there..

3) for the 1st time.. caught 3 fireworks events within a yr

4) job turnover rate for mi was almost sky high
from May to June or July...
switched abt 4 or 5 jobs within a mth plus..

5) did filing at SGH (MMD)
one of the best working environment ever worked
had the best supervisor an employee ever got...
experienced of no office politics..
the best job scope wif one of the most highest paying rate...
bascially tats is the best time of my working days...

6) was 'forced' to serve the nation
(still has tiz mindset
no matter hw much Nation Education they injected into mi)
for the next 2 yrs...

tats hw my 2005 ended..
and hoped my 2006 will b a smoother 1..

Eve and late Christmas

Celebrated the holiday Eve from Suntec to Orchard..
Was at Suntec having dinner wif the gang at Olio..
(a well decorated resturant beside Fish & Co)

ambience there was rather good..
christmas coral was played
an open concept kitchen..
sofa seats for some of the tables..
menu there was 'new' to mi.
ordered 'forget wads the name'
but quite liked the dish and
goes well wif my iced mocha gelato..
had no idea wads gelato till the
drink was served..
its vanilla ice cream toppings!!!!

does my face always goes red whenver
i talked to a girl...
as we finsihed our dishes way b4 the other
table of friends..
we ordered some drinks.. (iced mocha)
CM was 'aiming' tiz particular waitress whom
he tot is the most 'chio' among the rest..
though i tink is the one in spects..

so he asked for new orders from her
mayb is tat i abit 'kan cheong'
when the other 3 has ordered thier drinks
i was saying my orders as the waitres was busy scribbing
away the 3 orders..
dun know wad comes over dem
when they suddenly say my
face is red...zzz...
initially din felt there realli no
burning in the face..
onli when they make more fun of
it in front of the waitress..
felt my face abit burning le..
and the rest were also laughing away...

moved over to orchard when closed to 930..
the walk from Mrt to Lido took almost 45 mins...
the place was so packed tat has difficulty walking..
and pple were spraying foam at strangers whether they
are armed wif the spray cans or nt..
have to dodge and dogde
but guess stil unable to dodge
away from some of the foam..
forget to do the countdw while waiting
to enter the cinema to catch 1215 Narnia..
so wasnt invlove in the celebration of
Christmas..

looking for a movie
close to LOTR
yet suitable for kids and ezier to understand..
looking for a movie somehw of mystical and magical..
unicorns.. cenutars.. talking lion and beavers..
guess tiz the movie for u...

walked to ps for Mac after the movie..
and was the 1st time
i saw the Mac changing its lunch/dinner meal
to breakfast..
most of the time was from breakdast to lunch/dinner..

from ps back to cine to
catch the NR5 hm and was
closed to 530 before i slept on my dear bed...

looking back from last christmas..
a thing i noticed..
i caught many movies tiz yr....
had a habit of collecting the movie tickets
i caught and it amts to 26...
though accidentally thrown a few away..

Christams started at almost 1pm for
mi today...
a few msg received in the late morning
but wasnt waked up by them.. lol
spend the day watching 'the Island'
i rented
and proceed for a non-cash mahjong
at friz hse...

and tats hw the 2005 CHristmas is for mi
and
sweet of them for the small gifts they gave... hehe..

an hr b4 Christmas end..

the NAVY

join them and be somebody..

no idea why would someone who dun know how to swim
would want to join them..

no idea why would some girls sign on and join them
when even some of the guys wana get out of there
or quicly serve their 2 years and get out of there..

basically no idea why would mi being a bad swimmer
are posted to there..
and others who dun know hw to swim are posted to there 2..

wonder if they are tat capable to train those non swimmers and mi
to pass our
survival swimming test within 4 months..

rumored tat those who failed will b posted out
and mayb be posted to the
vocation many pple feared and avoided - Rifleman...

personally what most enjoyed there is the freedom
they offered..
you are allowed to bring PSP.. portable tv
wadever u named it..
you can bring it..
provided u have it and din get caught...

there's lots of freedom and of coz a price to pay
the chances of getting confinement is
almost as high as Singapore defence...
easily u will get a 2 or 3 confinement
on sth which u tink is of minimal imptance..

10 men are shared within a bulk
like tat of BMT..
but what is of praising is the
quality of their toilets..
it's juz like those of shopping malls
abt the size of 1.5 times in BMT
and have its own roll of toliet
in each individual cubical!!!
u may tink tat is of no great deal
but in days of BMT
u have to bring own toilet roll..

a week passed
and mainly training in the naval
consists of running, swimming and lecturing..
u may tink its a rather slack and relac vocation..
somehw its true
provided if you are not a bad swimmer as mi... ^_^

if you are a bad swimmer as mi..
u juz have to wait for the vocation quickly
passed and wait for a new posting... lol..

year 2005 coming to an end..
many are clearing their AL..

practically walked the whole street of orchard yesterday...

met up wif fyp friends(ting feng gang)to continue the

did i ever mention i got injuried
coz of a jockey cap..
and yet i miss my throwing
of the cap during the POP...
which is an impt event in the BMT..

dun understand why my angle has swollen
till size of elephant leg..
wonder if its the bandaging
which hinder the flowing of the blood
to my toes..

24km road march wif a leg

without realising...
survive 12 wks at BMT in TEkong..
one of the place many of us dread..

many events throu tiz week..
enteraintment events..

games day on wed...
whereby 10 companies of sch 2 send representivities
to take part in runs, games..
though there's the rain halfway throu
it doesnt seems to dampen the spirit
esp tat of Leopard Company..
without a doubt they are the most
noisest and most 'on' company..

recruits' night on thus...
whereby there's 'hot' dancers
the gals wif their dance made the guys jump and dance
and wooo..

the short skits performed by diff
companies of school 2 also awed the crowd..
there's the YoYo performances, a skit somewhat
like tat of Stomp and many more..

came friday whereby
we had our one of the longest march
24KM...
wth.. how come nid to walk such a long distance..
kicked off at 3pm and was near midnight
when we ended the march..
Injuried my toe last wk
sprained my angle on friday morning...
lolx..
can say tat tiz is an injury wk..
and yet i still managed to complete
the march wif that sprained angle of mine..

mayb the march is too tough to handle
angle has swollen and went to
the clinic ytd..
was refered to NUH A&E for an Xray.. zzz
to confirm if there's any frature to the
angle or wadever...

scences at the A&E always doesnt looks good..
there's pple wif injuried head..
broken nose waiting for their turn...

wait at the hospital is rather long
but the taking of the xray is real fast..
the guy taking my xray seems to b rushing for time..
nurse at the counter is real friendly asking
questions on when i get inuried and where's the pain...
wheeled mi to the area to wait for xray..
saying my turn will come soon when
i been waited for at least 40 mins
but too bad the nurse is a guy... lol...
anyway glad tat all nurses are friendly...
or at the very least appears...
seeing them working till late hrs and yet still
remain so joyful,friendly, helpful and responsible of their work..
mayb tats why they say the job
of nurses are noble..

xray result is out within 20 mins and was declared
ju a sprain...
the nurse banaged my angle fast
and guess wad..
she is able to speak
mandrin, teochew(or guandong) and english..
and she's not a chinese..
talking abt bilingual...
guess she's pro..

xpected to recover in 5 days time
but still has to do a follow-up
wif a specialist.. zzz..
block leave approaching
and i nid to recover fast to enjoy it..

broken toe

our WHiskey company CO says only those who passed
his IPPT can booked out tiz friday evening..

mi fought my way throu and get a mere 2 pt on
my worst station
standing broad jump...
so at least get to book out on friday..

completed the 16km road march on thus
almost took my breath away when was marching from
the 8-12km..
felt giddy and breathless..
tink kena heat injury...
but eventually completed tat..
leaving onli the 24km road march..
which is a whole BMTC 2 event..

caught a 2340 Zathuar show
at JP by compliments of a friend..
a movie by the director of Jumoju..
wadever the spelling...
whereby u started the broad game
and u r stuck into it..

walked for almost an hr before
reacing home from JP..
1st time covered such a great distance..
lolx...
whereas my friend has to walk another
15 mins more b4 reaching his hm...

mayb tat too shag from all the walk and hit my
toe to the stair and zzz...
broke my toe nail.. wth..
nw is in pain though nt in great..
hope able to recover well
before starting the 24km march next friday...

Movie weekend

Saturday came and passed wif a blink of my eyes..

caught the long awaited movie
Harry Potter and the Globet of Fire..

the movie awed mi for 2 and 1/2 hrs..
but somehw felt tat many of the scences r edited
or tat the director has missed dem out..

OutField SITEST

once again..
was outfield for 3days and 2 nights..
tiz time is the SItest whereby it decides
if u have the leadership quality skills
to make it to the Command SCH...

2 main missions stretches over the last 2 days
wif mini obstacles and missions to complete..
mainly it brings out the shag from every1..

was expected to work in a
group was consisted of 15 pple
and from diff platoons..
the test is to evluate if you are
able to work as a team and has the leadership
skills as each person will b given the
chance to be the In-charge to give out intructions
to carry out the missions...

was told by my sgt tat in tiz test..
1 hu interested in Command sch has to
do alot of talking, providing suggestions
during the missions...
do lots of talkings and also act abit..
mi being the not so 'garang'
and not so 'wayang' and let the things take its course..
juz provide a few ideas on a few missions and
carried dem out..

cant believe tat it rained thru the whole of 3 days
and have to carry out those missions in the rain
and under the HOT sun...

but there's always tiz few missions tats
realli unforgettable...
such as wif a rope tie to your safely harness
and u are being pulled to a storey high...
climbing up a ladder made up of
2 simple logs and ropes...

crossing from one side of a 2 storey high structure
to another wif juz 2 logs being put 2gether and
not even being tied...

hehe.. tink one can seldom xperience
such stuff unless u are in the army..

started on thurs morning wif the 12km march to the campsite
and ended 3pm today
and there goes half the Sat... zzz
was on broad the army truck aka
the 'tunnel' back to bulk from outfield

a word to describe the driver..
ZHAI...
he made many sharp turns now and then
fast speed over humps,
over unstable terrains...
imagine 48 of us in the truck adn being 'flunk'
here and there...
zzz...
felt as if in a roller coaster on the ground...

3 more wks to POP..
and will be out of tekong.. YEAH...
currently was tinking on sth
which of great importance..
wonder if i should stick to it...

A day where my Co booked out at 1330...
reached hm at 1515...

everything is in a rush followed by tat...
washed my army clothes...
vaccum the floor..
had my meal
and my medicine...

rushed to meet wif FYP mates...

dinner at PS..
a restaurant which somehw
is like tat of FIsh & Co
pleased wif the baked fish in herbs
and the service..
employees there r real polite
and we named the waiter serving us as
"best employee"..

somehw when u in NS..
u get to meet your fellow mates outside..
caught sight of my section mate wif his gal
and my SGT.. hahha..
tink he was stunned I saw him and his gal...

movie 'Doom'
is onli alrite..
should have sticked to Sky High..
which i tink is better...

a chat at my nearby coffeeshop wif a JVS friend
till ard 1am and tat ends the day..
dun know if i should envy him for able to b Out of COurse
or not..

Holiday eve

Was in orchard for 2 straight days
out of the 3 day holidays....
and wads more incredible is tat
saw friends in these 2 days..
in same area of orchard.. Cine..

dun understand y i always landed in Cine or West mall

mayb is coz of the usual movie hunt and
the nearby shopping mall which is convienent..

caught Legend of Zorro 2day..
a great chill out movie after the
field camp..
anti-climax injected..
action pack..
humour..
all packed in tiz movie...
worth the time spent on the movie..

doesnt xpect it to b so 'laughable'
and there's always some weird laughing
by some pple at some scences
which inject more laughter in the threatre..

finally visit the Doc for a cure
for my one mth cough..
hope the medicine prescribe will do mi gd..

experiencing the long wkday break currently..
tat is one of the thing tat keep mi gg tru the field camp...
and finally got my hands on the
pre-order Jay Chou Cd..
tat is the other product tat keeps mi surviving thru
the field camp...
in times of such situation..
one nid such things to keep gg..

gg to catch my 1st Champ leg
later in the wee hrs since enlistment
though its a Liverpool match..

In Civilisation

Survive thr the 7 days and 6 nights field camp...

Though it rains at least for 4 of the nights,
making the ground sheet wet,
the solid soil muddy,
the diff insects crawing ard
and centipide being one of the most frequent
visitor during the day,
it didn realli dampen my mood to sleep..

thus i mam being labelled as one
able to sleep wherever i go..
and is instantly kinda..

Day 1 of field camp bascally started off wif the road march
to the 1st camp site
and the first event has alrd taken half of
our breadth away...
was taught to set up our basha(tent)
wif a bit of tekang and a lecture
and a training ends the day...
sky was alr pitch dark at 7pm...

Day 2 was kicked off wif mi
staring at the starry night which cant b seen in Singapore
and mi wondering off
there's many more days to go b4 end of field camp..
and hw to survive wif the combat rations
provided and moreover
mi haivng one of the worst menu...

i longed for Mac breakfast..

Day 3 was the day tat many dreaded
tat is i finally decided to do my 'business'
in the man made hole...
(cant believe that some of my platoon mates can
lasted for 7 days)

Mayb once u do it b4
u get the feeling to do oit again..
did my 'business' once a day
for the remainig 4 days...

day 4 stars appear
so beatifully to mi...
almost the whole of the sky was covered by the stars..
and im not kidding here...

Day 5 was the day for the 3rd camp stie
and is the day whereby
i missed my wild boar sighting
coz the onli time u able to c 1 is at the
2nd campsite
once u missed it..
forget abt to c 1 again..

Grave digging started on the 6th day..
and thankfully we din have to spend the night there
wif the centipide
as we r allowed back to sleep in the campsite...
and i told myself
I wanted to ave a good meal when i bk out

Ended the 7th day wif the legendary leopard crawl
whereby we doeged the MG..
but it seems tatthye have used up all their ammo..
fr when it comes to our platoon turn, there's doesnt
seems to b ani bullets flying above us...

7th night was spend back in the bulk
bulk sweet bulk compare to outfield..

since was a Sunday..
tekong cookhse is not open..
whole COmpany opted for KFC
but ate Candian Pizza due to the
big order...
imagine whole company there's 200 pple
and each had a 2 piece meal...
they cant conjure up so many at such
a short time.. zzz
aniway was glad tat there's sth better dan the combat ration

sth to share...
once u r in a more worse situation
u will tink tat the previous is better
this applies when we r in field camp...
we realise tat our bulk beds beats the
wate leakage tent we had..
the same old menu of the cookhse in tekong
beats the combat ration...
this is speaking from
the live experience of a soldier...

time to enjoy my public holidays.. yeah..

Live Range

Had my first expierence wif live bullets tiz week
in the army life....

the experience ican b summarised in 2 words
cold and tired...

dun realli undestand hw some of dem can get xcited abt shooting
live rds..
mi still prefer the ones i had in the simulation rm
wif computerised rifles and targets...

went to the live range early in the morning..
woke up at 4 in the morning to do preparations
the first person fired the first shot at 8am...
having ard 200 pple in then company..
it takes a while before my turn....

had the range test on Tues...
rained for a while and was wet throughout....
den stone till the sun set
for our night shot...
(did i mention tat the shot test is
carried in day and night)

reached back to the bulk at ard 1 plus in the following morning..
hehe... first time Lights off at 2am since my
days in army..
and woke up at 5am to continue the shot
in the live range...
and basically tat concludes the 2 days le...

cant imagine tat having shoot some
target nid so many days... zzzz

into the 6th wks of army life
section mates r getting used to each other
complaining abt sgt...
section mates or can say company mates
are getting tired of the tekan stuff le....
section mates are nw reciting those
commonly used phases by Sgt...

"still taking your time rite...
nvm... drop 20..."

"are u trying to test the water"

wad makes the part more sensation
is tat one of my section mates wil
play the role of recruit, the other
as the SGT...

me as always join in the fun and
also nag abt at those unbelievable
tasks and tekan sessions offered by our Sgt..

one task is tat
SIr asked our platoon to write 3 bad points on
our sgt and him.... zz..
such a task is a feat..
coz it makes us wonder to write the truth anot..

aniway i crap it throu..
by saying the jokes cracked by them are cold
and the tekan sessions are unbelieable and wadever...
glad tat we r nt required to put dw our names
on the paper we wrote...

training has become to sth
tat i cant almost breathe normally..
the training has nw stretch to running
rd the track 3 rds wif our sbo and doing pull up wif it..
zzz... realli veri tired after all these stuff....

been rattling abt my army life in here
since i enlisted
bt wad can u xpect from some1
who stayed away from Singapore 5 days a wk..

army is realli a fanscinating profession...
it can realli make u like it and hate it..

hate:
the many of jumping jacks to jump
the tekang stuff...
the admin(free) time
whereby is nt free at all..
coz after a while, the sgt will ask u
to do some stuff...
the marching to the cookhouse..
the warm up b4 physcial training..
the cool dw after the training..
the many other types of training followed by
the phsycial training...
the garang platoon mates..
the 'dao' platoon mates...
the tekang sgt...
and more....

take my hat off the sgt..
coz there's always the few sgt
who is able to keep majority of the
platoon to hate them and if given a chance
wont hestiate to blanket party them..

cant believe tat i got the infamous
tekong cough too..
tink been eating too much biscuits
during the limited free time...

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied,

After sharing what little food they had
the couple let the angels sleep in
their bed where they could have a good night's rest.

When the sun came up the next morning
the angels found the farmer and his
wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income,
lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel

"how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything,
yet you helped him," she accused.

"The second family had little but was willing to share everything,
and you let the cow die."

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.

"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion,
I noticed there was gold
stored in that hole in the wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed
and unwilling to share his good
fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmer's bed,
the angel of death came for his wife.
I gave him the cow instead.
Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens
when things don't turn out the way they should.

If you have faith, you just need to trust that
every outcome is always to your advantage.

You just might not know it until some time later...
Some people come into our lives and quickly go.

Some people become friends and stay awhile...
leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts...
and we are never quite the
same because we have made a good friend!!

plans

Things sometimes dont always go according hw
u plan it to b..

May planned for tiz and tat
but under circumstances.
u have to forgo some plans for
the efficicency of carrying out other plans..

interviewed & filmed dw by my SP juniors..
whereby my answers for the Q plainly zzzz..
SP still seems the same..
nt much changes to it..

some Q asked were wad my plans r after Grad and
if will consider to hold a job related to course of studies..

gave an answer wad i intended to do..
hope able to realise it..

answer to it:

1)complete NS at 22, den take a part job and a part time degree or
a full time job b4 starting a degree at 25 or 26..

back up plan in mind:

2)if kena a 8 to 5 pm post, sign on and let NS pay some of
the degree fees and start my first job mayb at 30

3)Stick wif my diploma, slog like a bull and
b stingy like a cartwheel..

always been indecisive...
cant i b decisive for some moment..
on wad to buy.. zzz..
juz cant have the best of both worlds..

ps.. is it silly of mi if i buy a poster wif frame
which is veri ex..

A Saturday

waking up early for almost a mth
taking the bus to JE station
at tat particular time for work
has almost became a routine..

taking buses at partcular timing
if u notice.. there's famailar faces u will c..
for mi.. there's 3 of dem... ^^
tink wont b seeing them again..

for the past 1 mth working life
onli on Saturday & Sunday
wake up wif the Sun at its highest pt..
nid not take tat morning bus to JE..
will not c those famailar faces on the bus
and the good colleagues of SGH..

today is the 1st day
since i ended my SGH work..
and i knew tat
a thursday cant b a Saturday
yet it can felt like 1..

waking up late...
not taking the bus to JE..
din c the colleauges which
been interacting for the past mth...
TIme realli flies...
esp gd and enjoyable times...

Contended

They say there's an ending to every banquet..
days spent in SGH without realising
amts to almost a mth..

times realli flies when u r in gd company
of others and doing things u enjoyed..

having done a few jobs from sec sch
to poly yrs..
dare to say tat tiz job is the best..
best is nt coz tat the job is relaxing.
but the colleagues r realli so gd and
so kind to us, even though we been there
4 less than a mth....

they r so warming tat there's even
gift for us --- shirts (adidas)
.. so touched..
mayb is tat i nv met such gd colleagues
i realli enjoy them being my colleagues...
they showed tat there's actually can b no politics
in a company..

knew tat its a mini party
organzised by dem..
when they said they required our presence
for an urgent meeting in the conference rm
due to us making a 'serious' mistake during our work..
mi and cm played along to continue the fun...

almost 20 of the staff were there to 'stare' at us
saying tat we made a serious miske..
we answered by 'juz dont deduct the pay'
'ask the GOv to defer our NS and we continue work here'
lolx..
in e end..
they say its juz a joke and the party started..
questioned us hw we felt abt the place
and gift presented to us..

when your colleagues r gd to you
you will fork $$$ and buy stuff 4 dem willing..
CM and Mi bought thank card, tibits and Ferror
for the dept..
bought gifts for
Jacqueline (a Giggs figurine)..
kelvin-- the part timer who a joker (flower plant)..
Zarinah-- the lady who always been treating us
nasi lemak and M&M cholocates.. (cool mug)

work supposed to end at 6pm..
bt stayed for a long chat
wif Jac til 7pm...
tok abt NS.. SOccer.. Her wedding.. lolx..
she's a reali nice lady...
fortunate for the guy who wins her heart.. lolx..

Wif gd colleauges
they offered good quotes..
"time is on your side, at least for a few gd yrs"
sth said by Jac when i complained tat will b old
when ORD..
and cant hardly survive on tat $350
lolx..

NS approaching..
time to catch up wif friends
and having met such gd colleagues
wad reasons can i give
in not paying dem a visit b4 enlistment..

coincidence tat both r Jac..
and there's tiz zhai and funny
conservation btw the Jac..

required to make an early wk notice
should we wanted to end our work b4 end of Aug..

bt mi and CM tot tat since assignment
been completed last wk
and currently on another task..
so doesnt c the nid to give a wk notice..

gave the agent a call tat our last day
will b tmr and we have alr discussed
tiz wif our supervisor..

bt the agent insisted tat we have
to complete till end of Aug..
coz we didnt give a wk's of notice..

(mayb there's a misunderstanding or wadever
during the starting of job...)

told Jac, our supervisor abt tiz..

our supervisor solved the prob..

Sentosa

Arranged to meet for another sentosa trip...

waited someone for 2 hrs...
was still zzz away when we called him at 12pm..

we could have went to sentosa first
bt no idea why we waited veri patiently for
him at HF...
at least 2hrs..

tink either is the long waiting or the weather..
it has made the 4 of us reall no mood
for the trip le..
and decided to have a trip
dw orchard..

the 3 of us travel to Orchard
to meet up the NS bk out guys
hu has juz completed their 7 day field camp..
conversations mainly was abt
the field camp stuff..

topic still revolved ard the NS stuff
when we had
Banana Split..
Brownie wif Cookies & Cream, Tiramisu Toppings..
Waffle wif Toppings..
and forget wad another ice cream dish
at Haagen Dazs..

simply juz loved Haggen Dazs ice cream..
they served the best toppings
from those i eaten so far..

without realising..
the veri few of us stil havent enlist
has onli abt 3 wks of freedom..

after deducting our next working wk..
